MMA performed a three-year underwater inspection services campaign for the Qatar Gas Operating Company Ltd (QG) commencing in 2010. The contract covered various platforms, offshore pipelines and subsea facilities located on the Qatargas field and involved a combination of engineering, stabilisation, ROV, diving and survey services, along with the provision of a vessel.
The general works that MMA was contracted to provide included:
- Pipeline and cable inspections using ROVs
- Subsea structural inspections of platform jackets and wellheads using divers and ROVs
- Freespan rectification via the installation of specialist grout bags
The project was managed and coordinated by teams in MMA's regional offices in Perth, Aberdeen and Singapore and was completed within the agreed schedule and budget.
